Statewide Programs
2-1-1 is here to connect Michigan residents with help and answers from thousands of health and human services agencies and resources right in their communities. While many of these resources and programs are locally ran, there are some federal and statewide programs available to all Michigan and/or United States residents. Below are some of agencies available at a statewide level.
Mi Bridges
Provides 2-1-1 General Benefits Navigation for service area residents in need. Agents may assist using the Mi Bridges system in finding state and community resources, applying for all MDHHS assistance programs available through MI Bridges and viewing MDHHS benefits information.
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and My Free Taxes
VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) is a free tax preparation service for individuals and families with low to moderate income. In some areas, 211 Northeast Michigan can schedule VITA appointments directly, and we also connect callers to the MyFreeTaxes.com website for self-guided filing options online.

Connects families to voluntary, in-home support programs for pregnant individuals and parents with young children. Services include education, developmental screenings, and parenting resources.
