Struggling with Bills After the Storm?
If the recent storm prevented you from working and you’re now facing financial hardship due to lost income, you're not alone. Local and regional partners are actively coordinating support for residents affected by the storm.

Otsego County Residents
United Way is coordinating the response for financial assistance requests related to lost income. This assistance may help cover essential bills OR ensure you can safely remain in your home. Support may include:

Help with mortgage and rent payments, utility assistance and food

Assistance for gas (for generators) or gas to get to work

Support with space heaters, water, and other basic needs
To apply for assistance:
- Complete the online form or call 211 for help filling it out.
A member of the response team will follow up with you after you submit the form. Please note: even if you walk into a partner location, this form is still required to begin the process.

If your property was affected by the recent storm, help may be available. Here’s how to get started:

If you need help clearing debris from your property, please call 211 to have your information added to Crisis Clean-Up, a tool used to coordinate both short-term and long-term recovery efforts.
